The Eras Tour film, titled Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, was released on October 13, 2023, and has already become the most profitable concert film ever made, bringing in over $100 million dollars in pre-sale tickets.

The Eras Tour film is not Swift’s first concert film, but it is certainly her most popular film to date. It consists of most of the songs from the Eras tour setlist. Although a few songs were cut from the movie, two surprise songs, “Our Song”, and “You’re On Your Own Kid” are included in the film.

All the recordings found in the movie are specifically from Swift’s U.S. leg of the tour focuses heavily on the fans singing along and having a fun time. This film, playing in theatres around the world, is an excellent opportunity for Swifties to experience the concert experience if they are unable to attend the actual concert.

To kickstart the premier, Swift appeared at theatres to meet and demonstrate her gratitude to her fans for all their support. At AMC The Grove 14, a theatre in Los Angeles, Swift appeared before the film’s start to make a short statement.

In it, she says, “Honestly, the fact that this tour was such a grand adventure has everything to do with the ways in which you cared about this tour . . . I think that you’ll see that you’re absolutely the main character in the film . . .”

Notable highlights from the film are the two surprise songs that made the final cut, as well as “Long Live”, a song dedicated to the fandom, playing in the background during the credits. Clips from the “Errors Tour”, which are fan-loved clips of little mistakes Swift made throughout the tour, are played at the end. Bloopers and moments from rehearsals were featured in the film as well.

Fans can also look out for popcorn buckets and collectable tubs if interested, which are being sold at Cineplex on a first come first serve basis. The Eras Tour Film is currently playing in movie theatres across Ontario. Fans are encouraged to make and exchange friendship bracelets, dress up and sing along as if it is a real concert.
