Every year at King is filled with many exciting holidays and events that are all represented in their own way. Now that the month of October is finally here, everyone at King is getting ready for this year’s spooky celebrations!
The spookiest month of the year takes creativity to the next level at King. Students and teachers will be able to share their amazing costumes inspired by characters from movies, books, celebrities and more on October 31!
This October, councils and clubs have created many fun and exciting Halloween-themed activities to partake in throughout the month. The King Emergency Response Council hosted an escape room in the drama room for the price of two dollars per person. Students and their friends could sign up together and try to escape the room within eight minutes while being spooked by ghastly actors. Additionally, the King Visual Arts Council arranged a pumpkin painting night after school where students could paint pumpkins with their friends.
RH King Academy has many spooky stories that resurface every October. The library council set up ghost tours during clinic periods giving students a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn about King and its haunting stories and their locations. These ghost tours showed places where ghostly events occurred such as the heritage room, the library and the A-floor war memorial.
The Library Council also set up a Halloween coffeehouse at lunch where students could share and listen to scary stories with many snacks provided. Ultimately, celebrating this frightful season comes with the ability for students at King to show off their creativity, learn about the school and let the community have fun in a spooky fashion!
