Urban Noise is back! The Urban Noise is the second art show of the year, the first being the Frozen Sounds in the first semester. Both parents and students are welcome to attend on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at 7 pm for a night of the arts. Admission is free for all.
The event will showcase a wide variety of student pieces using many different mediums; acrylic, oil, clay and more! Students within video production courses will have the opportunity to show their digital media throughout the event. Moreover, a variety of classes will be performing vocals and instruments. Najifa Ahmed, a Grade 12 student, “I am performing for senior strings and the repertoire includes Eleanor Rigby, a Queen medley, Vivaldi’s inverno, and a couple of others.” Speaking about the performances tonight and what it means for the future of King arts, she says, “I am excited for performing tonight. There was a bit of a pause within the arts. I hope this event alongside other art events in the last month will continue to help the arts build up to what it was again”.
Through this, everyone is given creative freedom. Such conditions allow everyone to freely express their thoughts and feelings through the art they create. The event displays music, art, video, and improv.
Overall, the event is an excellent way to really dive into the brilliant works of art that students from King have made, and continue to rebuild King’s reputation within the arts. Their hard work and dedication are truly represented by this event.
