King Spirit Weeks are coming back, in a musical way: KMC’s Music Week

November 17, 2022

“Musicians? Oh yeah, we think outside the Bachs.” Get hyped, because KMC (King Music Council) has been doing just that! Starting November 21, King Music Council will run daily events for their spirit week, including karaoke, a TikTok trend, and the annual and iconic King’s Got Talent!

The council will kick off the week with a scavenger hunt that travels all around the school. Of course, there will be a prize for the first to complete the hunt… so get ready!

Next on the agenda, is everyone’s favourite: Tunes Tuesday! This year the council will be featuring Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story, Backstreet Boys’ ‘I Want It That Way’, Walk The Moon’s ‘Shut Up and Dance’, Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party In The USA’, and Rick Astley’s legendary ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. The Tunes Tuesday performances are predicted to be prodigious but do not fear, everybody will get their time to shine!

Wednesday will bring a karaoke lunch in A30, the music room. All students who come to participate will get a chance to sing their favourite karaoke songs, so join in the fun!

Now, what the whole student body has been waiting for… King’s Got Talent! Just come down to the cafetorium Thursday after school. The music and artistry will make it all worth it.

To conclude this fantastic week of music and performance, KMC has decided that King will be participating in a musical TikTok trend. They will be posting the outcome on their Instagram for all students to look back on, whenever they (inevitably) want to remember the fun-filled days of King Music Council’s spirit week.
