On your marks, get set, write!

Attention! Calling all future Pulitzer Prize Award Winners!
King’s Library Council (KLC) is hosting a creative writing contest for students to showcase their literary prowess through short stories and poetry. Submissions should be sent directly to their email address: [email protected]. However, keep in mind that only one submission is allowed per person, so crank out your very best 1000-word short story or 250-word poetry piece before finally clicking the ‘send’ button!
Everyone is doing a lot of writing right now, whether that be sending chats through Zoom classes or typing up essays for English or creating discussion posts for Business, so put those muscles you’ve been exercising so often to good use and participate in the contest—and if you haven’t written in a while… well, what better way than some healthy competition to get those creative juices flowing again?
If that isn’t reason enough, KLC has promised some mystery prizes for the two winners (one for poetry, one for short stories)!
The final date to submit is March 31st, 11:59 PM, but whipping out a Word Document right now wouldn’t be too bad of an idea…
Contact KLC through their Instagram (@rhkinglibrary) for any further queries.
