‘Dress as Your Type Day’
November 23, 2022
The annual ‘Dress as Your Type Day” is a memorable event at R.H. King Academy. This year, the event will happen on November 23, so keep an eye out for people dressed as their type while walking through the halls!
On November 15, King Student Council posted a poll on their Instagram story (@rhkingksc) asking their followers to choose between two spirit day options; dress as your type day or decade day. The winning option, voted by the R.H. King community was the former, so here is what King students can expect for the spirit day.
‘Dress as Your Type Day’ is an opportunity for students to dress as what they’d look for in terms of style and fashion-sense in a partner. Or in other words, their ideal type. Students can also dress in ways that don’t relate to relationships. Some may choose to wear clothes that they find aesthetically pleasing which are also not a part of their usual style. This event is completely optional, and it is purely up to students to decide what they feel comfortable wearing.
To find inspiration on how to dress, there are many social media platforms with posts related to this event. Searching keywords on Pinterest or Tik Tok will provide loads of ideas. Students that participate and choose to dress up as their type can post their outfits and tag KSC’s Instagram to show off their school spirit!
The most important part of this day is to just have fun! There are many other spirit days planned, so make sure to check KSC’s Instagram and articles on the Kingsley Voice to stay in the loop.
